So when it comes to keeping your engine cool and your CTS-V running at its best, a CSF High-Performance All-Aluminum Radiator is the obvious choice. Designed to perform on the street or at the track, a performance radiator is a must-have for both high horsepower builds as well as race vehicles which need added cooling performance in motorsports environments. This radiator features a 2-Row core with CSF's exclusive B-Tube Technology: Unlike a regular oval shape "O" type radiator tube, CSF uses a specially engineered tube in the shape of a "B". These "B-tubes" are carefully formed and then brazed over the seam to seal. CSF is able to use thinner and lighter aluminum material (with better cooling efficiency) because this design is actually stronger than normal "O" shape tubes that are welded. The design (inlet in the middle of the tube that is seam brazed) increases the heat transfer surface area of the tubes by approximately 15% over regular tubes - producing the efficiency of two smaller tubes vs. one large tube within the same space criteria. With "B-tubes" you are able to get "dual liquid laminar flow". Virtually any type of oil can be used - including engine oil, power steering fluid, transmission oil, and gearbox fluid. The oil cooler includes a SPAL fan and shroud with isolator mounts (for high vibration) - but this can be removed for a more compact fit or when not needed. -10 AN fittings are built into the end tanks, making it easy to install for aftermarket and race applications.

This upgraded built in cooler is great dealing with the added heat and stress from towing, low gear crawling, and vehicles equipped with oversized tires. While plenty of people understand the impacts of oversized tires, it is always good to provide additional information. Because the S54 requires a much more robust oil cooling system than the E36's S52, CSF made special provisions to fit two different race spec oil coolers. To do this, the height of the radiator was reduced slightly so the oil coolers can fit under it in a factory style location. The radiator includes mounting brackets which can be adjusted to fit both oil coolers (CSF #8032 & #8240). CSF also includes brackets for an electric fan conversion. These brackets are designed to fit a single 16 inch SPAL Fan (not included).
