The CSF x Rogue oil cooler uses a Bar & Plate construction (vs. tube and fin) in a top/bottom configuration. The Bar & Plate design makes the cooler much more robust and able to take abuse from debris hitting it at high speeds on the road or track. The cooler uses extruded end tanks which means it is a much stronger design than simple bent aluminum sheet construction found on the oem unit. The cooler is a bolt on design for the factory radiator or the CSF High-Performance Radiators (E46 M3 - CSF #7058 / E39 M5 - #7064) and uses the factory oil cooler lines.This Part Fits:

The Triple-Pass Flow Structure allows the coolant to flow across the core of the radiator three times before exiting for lowest outlet temperatures possible. This radiator features a 2-Row core with CSF's exclusive B-Tube Technology: Unlike a regular oval shape "O" type radiator tube, CSF uses a specially engineered tube in the shape of a "B". These "B-tubes" are carefully formed and then brazed over the seam to seal. CSF is able to use thinner and lighter aluminum material (with better cooling efficiency) because this design is actually stronger than normal "O" shape tubes that are welded. The design (inlet in the middle of the tube that is seam brazed) increases the heat transfer surface area of the tubes by approximately 15% over regular tubes - producing the efficiency of two smaller tubes vs. one large tube within the same space criteria. The factory radiator for the E60 M5 and E6X M6 are pretty nice all aluminum units. While they have proven to be fairly robust, age and additional power tend to push them over the edge. The original OE oil cooler from BMW is an all metal design which would make you think it would be fairly robust. However, there are several weak spots in the design that tend to cause leaks. The CSF Race-Spec design reinforces the weak points, especially around the feed and return lines. CSF's solid line connection block can handle any abuse thrown at it while the reinforced and braced return tube is rock solid. CSF also upgraded the more fragile Tub/Fin core to a robust and durable Bar/Plate design. The core is 40% larger than the factory unit with 2 additional rows of oil cooling and much thicker core (63mm vs OE 45mm). This offers superior cooling capacity and volume for the oil system. This is critical as the Auxiliary Radiators not only help keep engine water temperatures lower, but also are utilized as the heat exchange medium in the air-to-water charge-air coolers for the turbocharger system to reduce intake air temperatures (IATs). Overall, the Auxiliary Radiators larger capacity prolongs the heat soak threshold and assists in keeping temperatures in optimal ranges. The included, detachable rock guard offers protection against the build-up of debris, as well as possible core punctures - unlike the OEM auxiliary radiators, which have little protection against the elements. Bisimoto is no stranger to Hyundai tuning - back in 2019, Bisi approached CSF back in need of an upgraded intercooler for his factory-backed Veloster N SEMA project. Pushing the limits of the N platform, Bisi's car featured upgraded turbos and high-performance tuning, resulting in the OEM intercooler showing its weaknesses and inability to shed heat from the turbo system. With technology taken from CSF's #1 selling BMW N54/N55 intercooler, the front face of the intercooler features CSF's exclusive rounded bar/plate design, which aids the air entering the intercooler core by curving around the front bars rather than hitting and scattering on the surface of a traditional flat-bar faced intercooler. CSF's stepped-core design maximizes all of the available frontal area behind the front bumper and underneath the crash bar. The stepped-core protrudes upwards in front of the A.C. Condenser and sits just shy of the crash bar, for both the Veloster N and i30 N. Through prototype testing and data acquisition with Bisimoto, the decision was made to keep the OEM-sized inlet and outlet connections. The CSF Heat Exchanger is a true "Drop-in Fit" Requiring No Modifications to Install. It accepts All attaching OEM components including "Quick-Connect" hoses, mounting brackets, OEM X-Brace and all air ducting/shrouding. The CSF #8075 comes in a Polished Finish.
