Extensive design work was given to the extended length steering knuckles to keep the track width near stock with superior turning radius for maneuverability in tight spots. Lower control arm crossmembers are strengthened with cross tubes backed up by tubular frame struts to distribute front suspension impact loads. The front differential is protected with a tightly formed 1/4 thick steel skid plate. Fabtech offers the 3'' Basic system. This system utilizes the factory coil springs with 3'' steel coil spacers. With the vast array of cab and motor combinations found in the JK, utilization of the factory coil springs with this system ensures that the vehicle will receive a full 3'' of lift to clear 35/1250R17 tires. This system includes a replacement Pitman Arm, front and rear Trac Bar relocation brackets, Sway Bar Links, front and rear Bump Stop mounts, gusset kit, and more. Proper front end alignment is insured with this system due to the included adjustable alignment cams. Also included is a front driveshaft boot clamp kit to allow additional clearance between the front driveshaft and transmission during full suspension articulation. This system capitalizes on Jeep's very capable factory suspension design with the benefit of additional wheelwell clearance to run 35'' tall tires for all around on and offroad performance. As an alternative to the factory small CV driveshafts we offer Heavy Duty units featuring large 1310 U-joints for increased strength. This 3in Ram lift kit has been designed to provide a superior ride quality with clearance to run 35in tires for both on and offroad use. The mild lift height is subtle yet gives the vehicle a commanding stance without over doing it. Fabtech engineers took considerable time to cycle and test the 3in lift with their heavy duty ball joint upper control arms. There is no bind throughout the suspension travel and steering operation. The steering will go full lock to lock without any loss of the turning radius. The factory Ram upper control arm is made of plastic with a light duty ball joint. Fabtech's Upper Control Arms are constructed of tubular steel with large robust ball joints that provide strength to the suspension. These Fabtech upper control arms are a substantial upgrade for aggressive offroad use. Front lift is accomplished with a steel spacer that bolts to the top of factory coilover shock and a small coil spring collar that is placed below the coil spring.
