But in both situations, the excellent ZF transmission could be let down by the stock transmission cooler. Poor airflow and a cramped cooling stack makes the stock transmission cooler the weak link in your JL's drivetrain, but Mishimoto has the solution.Mishimoto's performance transmission cooler for the 2018+ Jeep Wrangler JL is custom designed to extract every ounce of cooling capacity from the air passing through your JL's grille. Our transmission cooler features a 93-percent increase in external tube area and a 32-percent increase in external fin area to make sure that all of the air passing over the cooler is utilized.The Mishimoto transmission cooler also features unique fins within the tubes to add even more cooling surface area and make sure that all of the fluid is in contact with a cooling surface.
