RockJocks Johnny Joint(R) adjustable front trac bar for the TJ/XJ/LJ/MJ features an offset Johnny Joint(R) rod end that puts the bar further forward providing more clearance between the diff and the trac bar. Other features include 1 1/4 in. x .250 wall 4130 chrome moly construction, a welded in gusset from the bar to the Johnny Joint(R), heavy duty adjustor end with with bushing and steel insert sleeve that bolt into the factory housing bracket, and semi-gloss black powder coat finish. Some drilling is required for installation. The supplied frame bolt is a 5/8 in. and this hole must be drilled to size to accommodate the heavier duty bolt. NOTE: This trac bar is intended to be used with a minimum of 2 in. of lift. It may work on vehicles with less lift with Dana 30 frontends, however, on vehicles with no lift and a Dana 44, 9 in. or 60 frontend, you may run into a clearance issue. RockJock's narrow forged Johnny Joints for fabricators and suspension system builders offer 40 degrees of unrestricted movement in any direction as compared to 22 degrees on a common heim joint! Johnny Joint rod ends offer cushioning that a heim joint cannot provide via high-density urethane bushing that encases the inner ball. The heat treated center balls are cross-drilled for thru-bolt lubrication and the joint internals are retained with 2 heavy duty, heat treated side washers and a snap ring. This specific joint is a 2 in. diameter, narrow body and features a 9 in. long shank, from CL of joint to end of tip of threads), 3 1/2 in. of 1 in.-14 RH threads and a 1.600 in. wide x 0.510 in. thru-hole center pivot ball. Being that, in our applications, we use this specific joint in TJ, LJ, XJ, MJ and XJ front trac bars, the shank portion features a 12 degree vertical bend, 3 1/2 in. from the joint Cl, as seen in the photo, making it specific to fitment in this application. Finish is gold zinc plating. RockJocks 1 in. body lift for 1987-2006 Jeep TJ/YJ Wranglers and LJ Unlimiteds allows for additional tall tire clearance without exceeding practical suspension lift heights. The RockJock billet aluminum body lift pucks are concave on the bottom side to allow the retention of the stock rubber body mounting pucks. This keeps the body isolated from the frame just like stock, so that no more noise or vibration will be transferred to the cab of the vehicle than would be stock. The aluminum pucks are powder coated black for durability, and all of the necessary, new, longer grade 8 body bolts are included in the kit. We highly recommend the use of the 1 in. raised heavy duty motor mount kit in conjunction with this body lift to keep all of your underhood and linkage pieces in line with the body where they belong.
