As the VQ35HR ages, it produces more and more blow-by, which makes its way back through the intake system and into the cylinders. More blow-by equals a higher chance of detonation, and the high-revving, high compression HR can't afford more risk. That's why Mishimoto has developed a baffled oil catch can for your VQ35HR-powered 2007-2009 Nissan 350Z or Infiniti.Our complete kit utilizes two 6061-aluminum catch cans that mount in line with the VQ35HR's PCV and CCV systems for protection from idle to wide-open throttle. Blow-by is routed away from the intake and into our catch cans using direct-fit, chemical-resistant lines and CNC-machined aluminum fittings. The Mishimoto BMW N54 Baffled Oil Catch Can is designed and engineered to reduce carbon buildup, a common issue with the direct fuel injection N54 engines. The Mishimoto BMW N54 catch can kit uses the proven engineering from the Mishimoto 2-Port Compact Baffled Oil Catch Can with a bronze filter, and internal baffled to better separate the oil from the crankcase vapors. The engineers at Mishimoto designed a CNC-machined lid which features large inlet/outlets in order to match the inner dimension of the CCV hose. This baffled oil catch can will defend your intercooler, intake system, and VANOS system from oil-blowby and help maintain proper octane levels to reduce potential detonation. The kit comes with two direct-fit hoses, which require no modification to the engine cover, and one direct fit mounting bracket that not only is extremely easy to install but also mounts the can in a serviceable location! Two CNC-machined aluminum, in barb fittings connect the hoses to the can. Like all of our products, this baffled catch can kit comes with the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty! Our catch cans are different from most air-oil-separator (AOS) systems on a few levels. First, our catch cans are not heated. This means that all of the blow-by is able to condense in the can, including low-octane oil vapors and contaminated fuel vapors. Most AOS systems also drain the blow-by back into the oil pan, while our catch cans trap the blow-by and keep it out of the engine permanently. If you've seen what We've seen in the bottom of our catch cans, you won't want that draining back into your oil either.This Part Fits:

One of the main drawbacks to a turbocharger is the massive amount of heat that it produces. That heat can severely affect intake air temperatures and rob your engine of power. Additionally, keeping the exhaust gases that spin your turbo hot makes for a more efficient, better spooling turbo. That's why it's so important to insulate the hot side of the turbocharger and keep the heat in. With Mishimoto's 2007-2011 N54 BMW (135i,335i,535i) turbo blanket, the heat stays where it's supposed to be and out of your engine bay. Our turbo blankets are constructed with an outer layer of volcanic lava rock and titanium woven fabric. The inner layer traps heat with a high-silica fabric and stainless-steel mesh for maximum durability. This allows the interior layer to withstand over 2,300°F (1,260°C) while the outer layer protects against temperatures over 1,760°F (960°C). Using our standard 3 oz. can, this kit will reduce the amount of harmful blow-by oil that coats your intake tracts and cakes your valves with carbon deposits. Internal air diverters slow incoming air for more effective air/oil separation as a 50-micron bronze filter helps filter that air and an internal aluminum baffle prevents any caught content from being recirculated back into the system. With the off-roader in mind, our two-piece, 2.5mm thick steel bracket was specially engineered to wIt'stand a heavy amount of movement and abuse. Our complete, dual-can setup combats the one issue that effects every modern day engine ? blow-by. As a side effect of how your engine operates, and to keep the environmentalists satisfied, engine oil droplets make their way back through the intake tract and can build carbon on the valves ultimately robbing your high-output V6 of its performance. With our G37 Baffled oil Catch Can Kit installed, you will have an unbeatable setup that will effectively intercept the contaminated crankcase gasses and prevent them from entering the intake.Our complete kit utilizes a pair of our tried and true 6061 aluminum compact catch cans that mount in line with the VQ37VHR?s dual PCV system using an application specific mounting bracket. It's more of what?s on the inside that counts for these catch cans, however. Our compact oil catch cans come equipped with a highly engineered baffle designed to condense oil droplets and fuel vapors to be collected in the bottom of the can. We've also incorporated internal air diverters to ensure a smooth, and consistent flow of your PCV pressure. As an added line of defense, each one of our catch cans has a 50-micron bronze filter installed to trap any potential rogue oil droplets from escaping into the return line. Finally, every kit comes with a full set of pre-molded flat-black hoses that look right at home under the hood of your G37 and also ships with the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.Our catch cans are different from most air-oil-separator (AOS) systems on a few levels. While the MS3 might have been one of the pioneers in the North American hot-hatch renaissance in the mid-2000s, but like the rest of the direct injected turbo charged engines of that era, It'suffered from copious carbon build up due to engine blow-by. The 2.3L MZR turbo also has a unique issue with blow-by as It's equipped with a top-mounted intercooler which is prone to heat soak effectively baking in all of the oil and fuel droplets into the heat exchanger. With the Mishimoto Baffled Oil Catch Can Kit, those crank-case gases are intercepted before even reaching the intercooler in the 6061-billet aluminum can.
