The ICON Vehicle Dynamics V.S. 2.5 Series remote reservoir coilover shocks are an incredible upgrade for the front end of the Toyota FJ Cruiser, 4Runner, and Lexus GX platforms. ICON’s Vehicle-specific valving provides a sport tuned feel on and off-road while offering 0-3.5†of lift height adjustability for use of larger, more aggressive wheel and tire combinations. ICON's larger 2.5†shock body and increased piston area over stock components provides improved damping ability and outstanding ride characteristics across varying types of terrain. Remote reservoirs ensure optimum performance by increasing the duration of consistent damping regardless of situation, keeping the shocks at a cooler operating temperature during heavy use. These extended length versions offer increased wheel travel but also require the installation of aftermarket upper control arms in conjunction with the coilovers. ICON Vehicle Specific (V.S.) 2.5 Aluminum Series shocks are designed and built to give your vehicle outstanding performance off-road and a smooth ride on the street. These shocks are configured specifically for each application in both length and damping tune. Like all ICON'S Shock Absorbers, V.S. 2.5 Aluminum Series shocks are 100% rebuildable and 100% revalveable. For piggyback and specific remote reservoir applications, ICON'S unique use of a 6061 billet aluminum manifold a few inches below the top cap of the shock creates an internal Bump Zone that when used creates an additional 20% of damping force. This additional force helps prevent harsh bottom outs and controls the suspension when compressing at high velocity. The ICON CDC Valve is an externally adjustable valve that restricts oil flow into the reservoir which creates 10 levels of compression damping force ranges. ICON Vehicle Dynamics now offers a bolt-in hydraulic bump stop Kit for the 2007-2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser AND 2003-2024 4Runner. This kit reduces rear-end “kick†and helps to improve the overall off-road performance of the vehicle. The OEM rubber bumpstops have a limited energy absorption capacity that is released rather uncontrollably upon rebound, resulting in a harsh ride and ill-handling vehicle in rough terrain. The ICON hydraulic bump stops are velocity sensitive which means that the amount of energy absorbed increases the faster they are engaged, so those harsh g-outs and square edges are less likely to interrupt your off-road adventures. Vehicles equipped with the ICON hydraulic bumpstop kit will have an increased bottom-out resistance over stock, as well as an improved drivability off-road. These trailing arms are light, strong, and have been engineered to increase the off-road ride quality the vehicle. Constructed out of 6061 CNC-machined billet aluminum, these arms also stand out when bolted up on the vehicle. They include 16T Rod Rod Ends that have a load rating of over 40,000 lbs of pressure as well as a dual rate bushing on the axle side for excellent articulation characteristics with minimal deflection. The system includes front coilover spacers that utilize the factory Toyota 4Runner Coilover shocks for a stock like ride characteristic. Rear lift is accomplished with steel coil spring spacers that retains the Toyota 4Runner coil springs for a smooth ride. Heavy duty Fabtech control link arms replace the factory arms to reposition the tire in the wheel well with the additional ride height.
