Upgrade your stock track bar to a heavy-duty adjustable track bar from Skyjacker Track Bars keep your axle from moving side to side, keeping your suspension in correct alignment at all times. This bar attaches one end of the axle and to the chassis on the opposite side of the vehicle with pivots, allowing it to swivel up and down. The track bar basically serves as the locating and stabilizing connection between the axle and the frame. The problem with the stock transfer case shifter linkage is that it attaches your shifter to the body and is then attached to the transfer case. It is a rather poor design from the start. Here is why. When a 97-06 Wrangler has a body lift, engine swap, transmission swap, riser motor mounts or a high clearance belly pan, the transfer case shifter will bind making it very difficult to engage or disengage the transfer case.
