When you need an emergency engine shutdown system, then BD has the solution that is hard to PASs up. Some industries such as mining, oil refinery, forestry, mobile welding, septic removal and refueling require some vehicles to have an emergency engine shutdown in place. The most effective method for this is to cut the air supply to the Diesel engine ensuring fuel ignition to cease. With BDs Positive Air Shutdown (PAS), an inline butterfly valve is placed in the air intake line and when activated by its heavy duty electrical solenoid, the engine will shutdown within seconds.Standard applications include automatic over-speed electronics and CAC pipes included for some vehicles. The PAS butterfly valve design reduces the number of parts and the overall size as compared to competitive units. Aluminum and stainless components plus weatherproof electrical connectors are used to prevent corrosion. For drivers looking for an intake that not only performs, but also looks good doing it, the AWE S-FLO Carbon Intake is the one. The S-FLO Carbon Intake is comprised of three primary components: (1) The washable S-FLO Filter and (2) AWE's high-flow, 4-ply Nomex®, fluorosilicone lined, steel wire reinforced silicon air tube and (3) the 2x2 twill carbon fiber cover. By deploying the fully enclosed S-FLO Carbon Intake, the ambient ram-air is drawn into the inlet and fed beneath the S-FLO’s carbon cover, keeping it cool compared to an open element configuration susceptible to engine bay temperatures. Keeping this ambient ram-air cool results in impressive power gains filtered through the AWE S-FLO Intake. Results in torque and power gains across the full operating rpm range, starting right off idle and marching to the shift point in each gear. Derringer is dyno calibrated to use multiple data inputs such as throttle position, rpm, vehicle speed, AFR, knock, coolant temperature, and EGT, just like your engines ECM. It actively and safely optimizes calibrations in real-time thanks to its OBD-II connectivity. No competitive tuner does that. Derringer has 6 levels, adjustable on-the-fly using the iDash. Level 6 produces best-in-class performance. Level 3 is designed for work use and has a great mid-range feel. When running Level 3 with a loaded truck and/or pulling a trailer, your on-ramp merging speeds and passing times are greatly improved. The electronics are enclosed in a compact housing which is easily concealed and communicates with other Banks devices such as our iDash DataMonster, iDash SuperGauge, and PedalMonster throttle booster. The Derringer connects in line with your trucks engine sensors. But unlike other tuners, it also connects to the vehicles OBD-II diagnostic bus. ActiveSafety health monitoring circuitry keeps an eye on the vehicle and the module itself. It checks its health 100 times a second. If it detects an issue, the Derringer instantly bypasses itself, sets a device diagnostic code, and seamlessly returns the truck to stock power. Plus, Derringers special coolant temp monitoring prevents power addition when the engine is too cold or overheated. The Derringer also auto-adjusts power if knock occurs due to bad fuel.
