A custom computer designed roto-molded housing eliminates the use of multiple components and ensures the coolest air intake charge available. A clear sight window allows for filter inspection without removal of the airbox. The roto-molded housing is made out of black cross-linked polyethylene. The housing is designed to retain the same water fording height as the factory intake system while providing more air flow and better protection. This System uses a CAD designed, dyno-tuned, roto-molded intake tube to achieve maximum power gains while maintaining a perfect fit. This tube has built-in resonance chambers to catch un-wanted air intake noises. This Momentum GT intake system was designed around the largest filter possible to allow maximum performance and filtration. This filter has a massive 5" round flange and is 8" tall with an inverted top and features our pre-oiled Pro 5R media. The Pro 5R performance air filter features 5-layers of progressively finer mesh cotton media providing maximum airflow and performance. The unique air filter to housing interface (patent pending) allows for maximum filter size which increases the available air volume while simplifying the installation process. Sprint Booster modes and programs are transmission type specific for better function and performance. The driver can select the transmission type through a slide switch located on the right side of the device. The device will then automatically adjust the programs according the type of transmission selected. There are 36 programs in total (18 for manual transmissions and 18 for automatic transmissions). Valet mode limits the acceleration of the vehicle by 55%, 65%, or 75% (comes in three selectable levels). It is activated and deactivated with a three-digit PIN. By limiting the acceleration, there will be a significant reduction in the vehicle's performance. The Pedal Lock mode provides extra protection against unauthorized vehicle use. The driver can deactivate the acceleration ability of the vehicle through a 3 digit PIN. The menu for Valet and Pedal Lock mode is accessed when the vehicle is stationary and the Sprint Booster is off, by pressing the two arrow buttons simultaneously. The Mishimoto BMW N54 Baffled Oil Catch Can is designed and engineered to reduce carbon buildup, a common issue with the direct fuel injection N54 engines. The Mishimoto BMW N54 catch can kit uses the proven engineering from the Mishimoto 2-Port Compact Baffled Oil Catch Can with a bronze filter, and internal baffled to better separate the oil from the crankcase vapors. The engineers at Mishimoto designed a CNC-machined lid which features large inlet/outlets in order to match the inner dimension of the CCV hose. This baffled oil catch can will defend your intercooler, intake system, and VANOS system from oil-blowby and help maintain proper octane levels to reduce potential detonation. The kit comes with two direct-fit hoses, which require no modification to the engine cover, and one direct fit mounting bracket that not only is extremely easy to install but also mounts the can in a serviceable location! Two CNC-machined aluminum, in barb fittings connect the hoses to the can. Like all of our products, this baffled catch can kit comes with the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty! Our catch cans are different from most air-oil-separator (AOS) systems on a few levels. First, our catch cans are not heated. This means that all of the blow-by is able to condense in the can, including low-octane oil vapors and contaminated fuel vapors. Most AOS systems also drain the blow-by back into the oil pan, while our catch cans trap the blow-by and keep it out of the engine permanently.
