Removing contaminates such as the casting sand and metal shavings means your engine's water pump, EGR cooler and cooler will last longer. This kit is designed to bypass and filter small amounts of the engine'coolant while your diesel engine is running. The CNC machined billet 6061 aluminum anodized construction filter boss attaches to a supplied bracket, which mounts to factory holes so no drilling is required. Filter boss includes 2 threaded inlet ports and 1 outlet port. This kit includes all fittings needed for installation. The filter can be easily unscrewed for replacement. We recommend replacement of the first filter at 500 miles with the replacement of the second and third filters is at 3,000 miles each. After 3 changes, filter replacement can be done once a year. When you need an emergency engine shutdown system, then BD has the solution that is hard to PASs up. Some industries such as mining, oil refinery, forestry, mobile welding, septic removal and refueling require some vehicles to have an emergency engine shutdown in place. The most effective method for this is to cut the air supply to the Diesel engine ensuring fuel ignition to cease. With BDs Positive Air Shutdown (PAS), an inline butterfly valve is placed in the air intake line and when activated by its heavy duty electrical solenoid, the engine will shutdown within seconds.Standard applications include automatic over-speed electronics and CAC pipes included for some vehicles. The PAS butterfly valve design reduces the number of parts and the overall size as compared to competitive units. Aluminum and stainless components plus weatherproof electrical connectors are used to prevent corrosion.
