When Ford introduced the new Bronco, it surely kept this spirit alive, but with some much-needed modern-day updates, like getting more than 5 mpg, for example. They achieved this by utilizing the EcoBoost family of engines. As great as the new Bronco is, there is always room for improvement.----To give the Bronco some extra pep in its step, we’ve bundled two of our performance intercooler components to make the ultimate air-charge-cooling bundle for your 2.7L EcoBoost! The Mishimoto Performance Intercooler and Intercooler Pipe & Boot Kit bundle improves power and durability compared to the factory intercooler and pipes. The Mishimoto Performance Intercooler features a huge 4.7-inch thick core, CNC-machined 6061 aluminum flanges, and precision TIG-welded cast aluminum end tanks. Combined, this makes for a robust intercooler that, compared to the plastic end tank factory tube-and-fin intercooler, has far greater durability. More durability is always a good thing, but it’s even better when it’s backed up with performance.----The Mishimoto Performance Intercooler and Intercooler Pipe & Boot Kit bundle reduces outlet temperatures by 21.2-degrees and provides an increase in flow of 7-percent over stock. All of this combined generates gains of 13.6 HP and 16.7 lb-ft torque. We saw an especially good improvement in our trail simulation heat-soak testing where, after 6 back-to-back dyno runs, we still saw outlet temperatures 20-degrees cooler than stock.----What this all means is that in the real world, whether sitting in traffic or out on the trails, you’ll see improvements in performance. All functionality of adaptive cruise control and 360-degree cameras are retained. The new Bronco is here and if you’re even remotely interested in the automotive world, you know this is a big deal. Our team has evaluated the new Bronco and determined it is certainly worthy of the badge with impressive tech, and substantial capability, wrapped up in classical styling. Our familiarity with the 2.3L EcoBoost engine powering the Bronco made for a quick decision to create an effective catch-can solution. These engines feature direct-injection, which is great for creating an efficient burn and saving fuel but allows for carbon buildup on the intake valves. As blow-by flows over the intake valves, oil and carbon deposits can build up, impeding airflow and eventually preventing the valves from closing. The best way to treat carbon buildup is to prevent it, and that's where this Mishimoto Bronco 2.3L direct-fit catch can kit comes in. This Mishimoto catch can kit diverts blow-by away from the intake and traps it in our catch can. Inside the can, a set of air turbulators and baffles separate fuel, oil, and water vapors from the crankcase gasses and collects them to be drained next time you change your oil. By not returning the blow-by to your oil pan, our kit prevents fouling of the oil that could reduce its effectiveness, leading to accelerated engine wear. Finally, a sintered bronze filter removes any remaining carbon from the crankcase gases so that only clean air returns to your intake. The Mishimoto Ford Bronco 2.3L catch can kit is a complete bolt-on blow-by solution and includes all necessary components for a hassle-free installation. The engine bay of the 2021+ Ford Bronco is a masterpiece of technological advancement with either the 2.3L or 2.7L EcoBoost engine under the hood. All clad in black, the one eyesore is the factory plastic coolant expansion tank. Plastic coolant expansion tanks are both unpleasant to look at, but more importantly, prone to fatigue and failure over time due to continuous heat cycles of hot and cold. We took it upon ourselves to solve both problems and came up with the Mishimoto Aluminum Coolant Expansion Tank. Add some style and function under the hood with one of two available finishes, polished or micro-wrinkle black. Constructed from TIG welded aluminum, this tank is tough, and will withstand all the rough roads you and your Bronco take on. You’ll never have to worry about it cracking or failing like plastic, because nobody wants to end their trip in a cloud of steam. The built-in sight glass allows you to easily check your coolant levels, and the internal baffling and submerged pickup tubes ensure that coolant is kept level and you never draw air into your system, to ensure optimal performance at all times. Since we designed this tank as a direct fit replacement, installation is simple and should take less than an hour. During the process of venting crankcase pressure back through your intake track, large amounts of oil, in the form of vapors can gather/accumulate in your intake tube, intake manifold runners and even dilute your gas, lowering its octane level. This happens on all engines and is even worse with forced inducted vehicles (supercharged and turbocharged) as crankcase pressures are increased. To combat this, we have developed an oil separator of our own design. Milled from solid billet aluminum this is a rock-solid piece. It has a knurled tank base for easy removal to drain the spent oil and an O-ring seal to prevent any leaks. Filtering consists of a fine mesh stainless steel screen that traps fine oil vapors and releases them once heavy enough to fall. They then pass through a 1/2" thick 1/16th" aluminum honeycomb filter where they grow every larger and then fall into the bottom. By the time the oil gets through the filter it's too heavy to be passed on into the intake. The tank holds 3 oz of fluid, while that may not sound like a lot, you shouldn’t see that much oil in your PCV system. Drain it every 2000-3000 miles and you will never come close to filling it.Installation InstructionsThis Part Fits:
