Ridetech C2/C3 Rear StrongArm rear suspension system offers a lowered stance by incorporating coil-over and offset trailing arms. The offset trailing arm with a “trussed” design which allows maximum tire width while providing the utmost in strength. They utilize a Teflon bearing and the strut rods are outfitting with R-Joint rod ends to combine the best qualities of low friction movement, lateral stability, full range articulation, and quiet operation into one special bearing that is as home on the street as it is on the racetrack. The upper cross member simply bolts in place of the oe differential cross member and offers the attachment points for the coil-overs. ICON suspension components with the all-new Delta Joint PRO represent the state of the art in off-road performance and durability. Delta Joint PRO is ICON's innovative new suspension articulation joint which combines the durability and longevity of factory style ball joints with performance and strength that exceeds traditional motorsports-style ball joints. The Delta Joint PRO features a new rebuildable, serviceable design in which any component may be removed, inspected and replaced without having to purchase a whole new joint. Strength and durability are improved by using a larger ball with 56% more bearing surface than our standard Delta Joint, along with improved lubrication sealing. But improved performance is at the heart of the Delta Joint PRO, with a full 90 degrees of articulation, from one extreme to the other. This represents a 14% improvement in range of motion, over the highly capable original Delta Joint, allowing for maximum bind-free suspension movement through the complete range of travel. The Delta Joint PRO is built to take the abuse, with a chromoly ball and shaft that has a bearing surface hardened to Rockwell C 55. The replaceable races are made of graphite-impregnated sintered metal, machined to the finest tolerance to provide a flawless, metal-to-metal bearing interface. This bolt-in SLA (Short-Long-Arm) suspension system replaces the McPherson strut design with a billet aluminum upper control arm, tubular lower arm and spindles with S-550 Mustang hub's. This design greatly improves negative camber gain and overall suspension geometry. Available with either Ridetech Coil-Overs or Shockwave air suspension. (Sold separately)The factory strut design offers very little camber gain and poor overall geometry. This design incorporates an upper control arm to induce negative camber gain. This positions the tire perpendicular to the pavement through the corners without the need for excessive static camber. Caster, roll center and Ackerman angles were also optimized.The bolt-in frame surrounds create attachment points for the upper control arms and the shocks, this keeps all of the load on the frame rails. The upper and lower arms feature Delrin bushings to minimize stiction. The spindles utilize S550 Mustang hubs to prevent flex and are compatible with S550 or SN-95 Mustang brakes.
